Former Assemblymember Sandré Swanson announced his endorsement of El Cerrito Councilmember, Rochelle Pardue-Okimoto for the State Assembly.
"Councilmember Rochelle Pardue-Okimoto represents our next generation of progressive leaders committed to improving the quality of life for all the people of California,” said Swanson.
Sandré Swanson served in the Assembly for three successful terms and Chaired the Assembly Labor and Employment Committee.
Councilmember Pardue-Okimoto has been a Registered Nurse for the past 17 years at Alta Bates Hospital and a key leader in the fight to keep the hospital open.
Swanson concluded, “I have been involved in public policy for forty years and I encourage this community to learn about Rochelle’s life story. You will quickly understand why she is so passionate about improving our communities and civil justice reform. I am proud to give her my endorsement and active support of her campaign.”
